CVIC Key Milestones
1982 : Company Founded as Tangshan CVIC Ceramics Factory
In 1982, Mr. Zhihe Wang founded the company in Fengnan District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, China. The company initially specialized in industrial-grade wear-resistant ceramics for high-temperature and abrasive environments. It soon became the first in China to develop ceramic rollers for industrial use and secured national patents for this innovation—laying the groundwork for its future in iron ore pelletizing.
As CVIC’s materials engineering capabilities advanced, the company expanded into the design and production of ceramic screening rollers for pelletizing applications. These high-performance components, combining advanced ceramic materials with innovative mechanical design, significantly improved screening efficiency and equipment durability in iron ore pellet plants.
To this day, CVIC continues to manufacture ceramic rollers, a testament to our legacy of innovation, reliability, and long-term value in the global pelletizing industry.
1999 : Modernization Begins – Operated as Tangshan CVIC Industrial Ceramics Co., Ltd.
In 1999, under the leadership of the second-generation management team, CVIC entered a new stage of development. The company relocated to a new site and established a modern production facility, marking its transformation from a traditional ceramics workshop into a more advanced and forward-looking enterprise.
While continuing to expand its capabilities in ceramic products for the metallurgical sector, CVIC also began shifting its focus toward the design and manufacturing of larger mechanical equipment used in iron ore pellet plants, laying the foundation for its future as a full-scope equipment supplier.
2008 : Strategic Transformation – Established Tangshan CVIC Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
In 2008, CVIC registered a new company—Tangshan CVIC Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. — marking a major milestone in its development. By this time, the company had fully transitioned from a ceramics manufacturer into a comprehensive equipment supplier for the iron ore pelletizing industry.
With decades of expertise in materials and component engineering, CVIC expanded its product range to offer complete system solutions for iron ore pelletizing. These include pelletizing discs, roller screens, belt conveyors, and pellet distribution systems, supporting shaft furnace, grate-kiln, and straight grate iron ore pelletizing processes.
This marked a major step in CVIC’s evolution into a global partner for leading EPC contractors and steel producers. Known for its technical strength, reliable performance, and responsive service, CVIC continues to support pelletizing projects worldwide.
2017: Global Expansion – CVIC Inc. Founded in Vancouver, Canada
In 2017, CVIC established its overseas subsidiary, CVIC Inc., in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This milestone marked the company’s official entry into the global market and reflected its strategic vision for international growth. CVIC Inc. was founded to serve as a global hub, strengthening the company’s ability to build and manage a worldwide sales and service network.
Beyond commercial functions, CVIC Inc. also plays a key role in supporting product development, technical collaboration, and strategic partnerships with leading engineering firms and EPC contractors. Its establishment has enabled CVIC to better serve international clients, respond more efficiently to global project needs, and deliver customized pelletizing solutions across North America, Asia, the Middle East, and other key regions.
